i just bought a compressor/nailer combo on ebay, jewed the guy down to 169us to my door, still comes to 225cad. luckily its still about 70 bucks cheaper than buying anywere in canada, and i can't find it locally...
its a senco...very high quality stuff. its a tiny compressor, supposed to be super quiet and draw very little charge. on top of that, its only 20lbs which makes it nice for darting into a house to fix some little thing...
Ready for winter???? Nope! Still have 3 rooms to insulate and then blown in for the attic. None of which should take long, but many things to get done before I get to the easy stuff. Decomissioned my coal boiler the other day and trying to set up a small electric unit. We'll see how that works out.
im pumped for winter, but definately not quite ready yet.
i need to finish a bit of bodywork on the DD, and then sell my sled and get a new one. but im in a bit of a delima right now.
i found a 2008 polaris 600RR for $7500, but today i had a guy e-mail me wanting to trade my sled(2002 mxz 800 renegade-listed for $4500) for his 2006 polaris IQ440, plus around $1500.
but i also know of another 2006 iq 440 for $6500. the IQ 440 and 600RR are basicaly the same sled just different engine sizes. the problem is for only a $1000 i cant have a 2year newer sled that has a bigger displacement. i think i might go for the trade though; its less hassle then trying to sell it.
did any of that make sense? i kind of jumped around a bit

Sounds neat, Ive never heard of that brand before.
The ones we always look at are makita, and dewalt.
senco tends to be quite pricey, thats why they're usually unheard of. they were/are the top name in pneumatics, but the other companies, makita-dewalt-bosch-ect. have flooded the market with affordable stuff so the expensive stuff gets pushed to the back of the shelf.
