No more bruised kidneys.
When I had the truck lifted 5 years ago they used a Rancho add-a-leaf to lift the rear. the result was that even with a SnugTop the rear was so stiff that it didn't smooth out until I had at leat 500 pounds of cargo behind the rear axle.
I took out the add-a-leaf, re-bushed the springs and shackle, and added a 2" lift block, changed to bottom bolting square u-bolts, with a chevy bolt-block on top of the spring pack.
What a difference! Now the front and rear suspensions are evenly matched. No nore big thump in the rear when the rear tires hit a bump.
