I've got factory cab lights on my 97' stroke, but i want to smoke out the turn signals and taillights and i need to do somethin about the stock cab lights. Is there anywhere to find smoked lights that'll fit in place of the stockers?
just take them off and hold them infront of your tail pipe and have a buddy start the truck and rev it a couple times....lol just kiddin. maybe look at JCWhitney or lmc???
I found a place in town "kellys truck" that can order any kind of cab light for our trucks. I was only buying replacement stockers but I saw in their order book, blacked, smoked, clear and the list goes on....so they are out there
on edit: after reading blue mules post, the magazine could have been an old copy... I dunno
My 93 had factory cab lights on it. And since i installed clear lights on the front of the truck i wanted to put clear cab lights on the roof too. Good luck finding clear or smoked factory cab lights for your truck...its not going to happen.
But what i did was buy a set of clear cab lights from a 99-02 Dodge. My lights are made by recon and i bought them off of ebay.
If you want smoked cab lights you would buy these for a 99-02 Dodge. You will have to drill 2 new holes to mount the new lights...but the good thing about the dodge lights is they will completely cover the holes from the factory cab lights. Ive had my lights on for over a year and ive never had any problem with water leaking into the cab. I actually think the dodge lights go way better with the ford truck than the factory ford lights do and this is about your only option to get smoked lights on your truck...as long as you dont mind having dodge parts on your truck. I can get some pictures of my lights if anybody is interested.
Yeah if you don't mind i'd like to see some pictures. I like the look of the cab lights but i'd like to see them on a truck if possible. Thanks
Its too late here tonight for me to get pictures...but ill do it first thing tomorrow when i get home from school. I think you will really like them once you see them on a truck because of the way they are shaped they go with the truck much better than stock ones...but thats just my opinion.
Edit - Heres the only picture i have right now...it doesnt show the lights very good. Ill get better ones tomorrow but this sort of gives you a idea.
