Blend door
After searching the archives I have figured out that my blend door must be broken. I finally decided that I was going to take it apart today, it took me and my dad to figure it out how to get to it heres how we did it. First we took off the cover over the heater core, at that point we could see the door, turned the air from vent, defrost, floor, and the door would only move sometimes, but the actuator moved all the time. So it was clear that it was broke for sure. So the next step was how the h@ll do you get it out, all we had to do was take the air duct out and drill out two rivets on the door hinge. My question is this: is this door still available anywhere, otherwise I'm going to the junkyard tomorrow for one. btw why did ford make the hinge plastic, I surprised it lasted this long? Sorry for a long post but this whole process really seems ridiculous.
