Starter Issues

I just bought a 1972 F100 Sport Deluxe and replaced the starter, solenoid, and battery. Now my starter wants to stay engaged. Is there anyone that could shed light on my situation?

Check the 2 small wires on the starter relay ( solenoid) most likely they were accidently reveresed when you replaced the relay. Installing the wires on the wrong terminals will cause this problem.

I checked those does'nt change anything, You can tap the solenoid and it disengages, should I buy another one?

Yes I suggest another solenoid. It sounds like it may have a bit of solder or something binding the plunger inside. Also make sure it is bolted solidly to clean, nonrusted metal because the mounting bracket is also the ground.
