Tire Question

I need new tires before winter for my F150 Flareside. I currently have the stock LT235/75R15 tires. My local Canadian Tire has the exact same tire I have on my truck now for $108.00 each.

They also have the same brand (Motomaster, which I've had for the last 7 years and I like) but in a 31x10.50LT. They are $118.00 each. These look a little larger, but I'm told they will mount on the rims and have I will have no problems with rubbing, etc.

What is the difference between these two tires? Will one be better in the snow? Will one give me worse mileage?

All input is appreciated,
Glenn

First question is the truck a 2wd or a 4wd the 31's will fit both but will look strange on the 2wd.
2nd. The 31/10.50/15 is going to be about 2in's taller and 2 to 3in's wider than the 235's the 31's are going to weigh more so it might mess with your gas mileage some but it could be for the better also sometimes going up in tire size helps raise gear ratios in the rear end depends on the gears in your truck will mess with your speed-o-meeter to you will be going faster than you are showing maybe 2 to 5 over the 31 will put more hoof print on the ground so they might be a little better traction wise I hope this helps .
