Time for a new starter ?

I turn the key i get the starter to spin but no engine turning, if i hit the key multiple times fast it will engage and turn over engine and start.

I was having a problem a couple days ago with strange starter noise and found my starter to be hanging from only one of the two bolts I removed the starter, cleaned it and the bolts, and bolt holes, put it back in and it worked fine for a couple more starts about 6 to be exact. I tried to start it for the 7th time and it just gave me starter spin, I was cold and i had it plugged in for about 4hrs. I had to use the fast key twitch to get it to start. is that a definite bad starter ?

and if so is this one really worth the extra money ?

Double check your connections first. One or mare may be loose. Then check your starter relay. If those pan out good then it's probably the starter. How old are the batteries?

i checked all my connections, all tights and clean. relay was good also, batteries are a few years old three at least, were in the truck when i bought it, but i load tested them and they were still in the good range on the load tester, i tested each batteries independently three times. they are marked as 850 cca and the load tester was showing about 750-800 cca

If all that checked out good then it is time for a starter. Here is (IMO) the best starter and seal on the market.

I think that the original shipping might have been for next day or 2nd day, not UPS ground.

the drop down for shipping had no options for me, only ups next day which is $ 141.00 , which is nice and fast, but really not worth the cost to me, to get it that quick. still going to buy it, its just going to HURT the check book a bit.

I would give them a call first. It may work out to your benefit.
