Truck will not start....

So,About a week or two ago,I was moving my truck in the yard.I hit a rut in the yard, and the truck died.I never keep more than a gallon of gas in the truck since I don't drive it,so I knew that the gas had gotten away from the pickup line.I went to start it back up,and I had nothing.I popped the hood, and found my negative battery terminal was in two pieces. So I went to the parts store and got two new battery terminals and put them on. I got it to start, and it didn't give me any problems.Until today.I went out to start it and had nothing. It won't even turn over.So I got out,and re-adjusted the cables and the terminal.Tried again, and still got nothing.I did this 6 or 7 times, all to no avail. The terminals I have on there are the bolt on kind.I was wondering,do all the copper strips need to make contact with the ridges on the inside of the terminal?I try to make sure they stay in contact, but they keep getting spread out.My other question is should I just replace the cables?I've already replaced the starter, alternator, solenoid, battery, and voltage regulator,so I know it has to be the terminal/cable connection..Any help is greatly appreciated.

yes replace the cables, the bolt on ends are ok for short term temporary use but are always a problem

I had this problem and I went out and replaced all the power cables for both the negative and positive and never had a problem again.
