Can I use a 16X10 rim with 285/75/16's or do I have to stay with a 8" wide rim? I only ask this because I got a great deal on M/T's. Wanted 35's but they will have to wait. To many other mods on my wish list.

285/75R16 is roughly converted to 11.2 inches wide compared to the 11.5 inch wide tire i have. i wouldnt think the difference between widths of the 2 tires would cause a problem on a 10 inch wide rim. i know many people who run the 285/75/r16 tires on 10 inch rims and like me have not had a problem. from his post it looks like he wants a pair of rims that will be compatible for bigger tires as well. this is just my observation of different setups and is not a contradiction to the "recommended" rim sizes.
Thanks Boggers, I see you have a picture of my truck now all I need to do is put it in the gallary.
I wanted 16x10 rims because I want to go with 35"s at a later date. If I can't use them on these tires I'll just leave the tires on stock black rims for now. Thanks Guys
