Steering Noise
I have 2003 250 4/4 CC, with a 7.3. It has 73000 miles on it. At 28000 miles the ball joints, Auto lockouts, U joints at the hub, and rotors were replaced all under warranty, with ford crap.Well the last 1000 miles or so when i turn the wheel either direction you hear loudly like a creeking sound that corresponds to the movement of the steering wheel. Ive replaced sway bushings a year ago, and last week i replaced the tie rod end that connects to the steering arm because it sounded as if it was coming from that area. I jacked the truck up and checked my ball joints by putting a board under each tire and trying to lift and look for movement, i saw none. When they replaced my ball joints under warranty it made similar noise but you could see the movement in the ball joints. If anyone has any ideas i would appreciate some.

I'd put money on the ball joints being bad again. My dad's 97 PSD made the same noise. The ball joints were tight, but shot. If the first ones lasted 28, you're past due for another set. I put Moog's on mine and used a rental c press from autozone to press everything out and in. It would also be a good time to check/service all the auto hub parts and seals.
