I have a 2003 6.0 with 45,000 miles. 4 months ago I had a drivability issue that resulted in having the fuel pump and one injector replaced at a $1,000 price tag. I have probably less than 2,000 miles since that was done and now it seems to be a similar issue. No cylinders are firing at all. I have a juice on it and the only code it is throwing regards the EGR, but I have that disconnected.
The truck ran fine the last few times I drove it. It did however seem to take a few more cranks of the starter to ignite though.
Any ideas what I might look for? Help is much appreciated.
Search is your friend. There is a lot of different things it could be. If it were me I would tow it to ford and let them diagnose it for 150 bucks and then do the work myself.
Also you can't let these trucks sit. Driving your truck 6000 miles a year is doing nothing but killing it.
btw welcome to the forum there is tons of info on here and don't hesitate to ask any questions.
also let us know what the problem was when you figure it out.
I had a like issue. It was the EGR valve. ( and the EP tube) I have been told that just because you unplug the EGR it still opens under high back pressure stiuations. If it becomes gummed and stuck open, it will not start because the intake charge is diluted. sounds fishy but they replaced my EGR and then it ran fine. (I cleaned the tube)
