Exhaust Leak
I was told by 2 dealers that the black soot I have around my 2006 6L diesel exhaust manifold is normal. Looks like a leak to me . Yet they dont want to warrentee it. Design flaw?? Or just Lame?Any Input or advice would be great

What area are you in? Update your profile to include city/state so that someone might be able to recommend a reputable dealer with a knowledgeable diesel mechanic. Sometimes dealerships don't have a diesel tech on staff or they have a non diesel mech. look and make decisions.

Sorry Ill update profile. I'm in rangeley maine , along way from anything but woods and Mtns.
