transmission pump needs replaced

transmission pump needs replaced
I have recently bought a 1998 ford ranger, 4wd, ext cab,4.0 engine, auto-trans.
I bought this truck knowing it had a bad flywheel (great price). I pulled the transmission out of it and discovered the torque converter had come loose from the flywheel. I replaced the torque converter seal and reinstalled the transmission in the truck. Now the transmission is leaking fluid through the bell housing. A mechanic friend of mine has said that the touque converter being ran loose by the previouse owner might have damaged the pump in the transmission, causing the converter to sag slightly and not propperly seal off the fluid.
So...... with that said can any one tell me how to remove/replace the pump on the transmission. I will drop the tranny back out of the truck tomorrow. Also can anyone link me to a schematic drawing of the transmission.
