1999 150
i came home after 4months and tried to start the truck and it would only crank so i shot some starter fluid and it ran until i quit sprayin so since then i thought it was the fuel pump so i changed it yesterday and to no avail the truck still will not start any ideas please 4.2 auto.58,000 miles thanks

You need to do some diagnostics. The engine requires three things to start; fuel; spark, and compression. Also, i you can shot starter into the throttle, you have to have the intake removed. The truck will not run or start unless the intake is installed firmly.
