I am having a problem with my 07 F350 HD.
Taking off from dead stop turning left or right,
from 5 to 10 mph I feel a shutter or vibration in
the back end that almost feels like something is
skipping. Taking off driving straight there is no
shutter/vibration. Is there something wrong?
Have anyone had the same/similar problem?
Any help is appreciated.
Is this shutter that you believe is the limited slip something that gets worse as the pickup gets more miles on it? My dad's '03 has a shutter/vibration when turning at low speeds. Seems to be worse in the pasture, on slopes, anywhere there is a slight load on it. I keep thinking its something in the front end but we have had it checked...
lift the rear end off the groud and try to spin one tire, if you can not then you have limited slip or possie. If you spin one tire and the other tire spins the oppasite way then there is nothing there.
If you have limited slip there is a clutch pack on each axle and there is supposed to be friction additive to the oil to prevent this chatter that happens when go around corners or spin the tires
