hey guys im happy with my new headers. I am looking for some FE sound clips its time for some flowmasters. Im leaning towards Super 40,44 or plan 40 series.and yes i did search but not much on FE motors
If anybody has some sound clips please post
Dual exhaust only with headers please
Headers and Flowmasters. They are about 15yrs old, so they are the old school versions. None of that Delta flow crap.
I like glasspacks too, but not with alot of tailpipe, as I like the deep roar instead of the machinegun Kelly sound. I suppose more like a sidepipe tone.
Granted, way back in late 80's my '70 302 truck had machine gun kelly sounding exhaust, though it was with Thrush instead of true glasspacks. Wind'r to about 4000 rpm and let'r draw down..............Yowza......they heard me for miles! Kinda grew out of that phase with age.
Well I havent delt with any of the new stuff as of late.. But the flows dont sound bad, the warlocks sound even better, and the Hooker Max sound better yet! But I'am like Larry ..I dont like the pipes to RAP Back!! thats the lowrider Chit from the days of Lead sleds.. I run Mine with a 3 1/2' collector to a 3 1/2"x 15" long collector extention..to a 3" reducer into the Hooker Max flows... and it has a nice deep rumble at idle, and will drone at about 2000rpm.. them at cruise speed..mellows right out unless you put your foot in it... and i have the tips turned down just before the rearend....and you get that echco of the pavement... But going that route...If you like your music while cruising..Ya better by and amp and good speakers... LOL
