Organic Clutch

Just wondering if anyone knows how good valair organic clutches are? I e-mailed them and was told they have a better holding capacity than stock and by going to the SMF vice staying with the DMF I'll have more vibrations due to the SMF not adjusting to the torque of the engine as well as the DMF which absorbs more of the idle ranges and spikes of the engine.
Still learning as I go which is why I love this site

Best advice would be to call them and talk with them one on one. I did and got a real education. I ended up with a different clutch than what I thought I wanted to begin with. I got fullferramic. I was gonna get a semi ferramic which is 1/2 ferramic and 1/2 organic. Just call 'em up. I spoke with Kevin but they all are great guys and very knowledgeable. I believe you can get a discount if you say Cody (Rubberduck) sent ya.

I have that clutch you are looking at. It also has the HD hub. Pedal is lighter than with the dmfw setup. I heard somewhere that the HD hub is noisier than the std hub, dont know if its true or not. The trans isnt that loud once I changed the atf for PZ syncromesh and installed 5qts instead of 4.

I agree I used the 5 quarts instead of the 3.7 it called for.

ATF is really noisy in the trannies.
A good non shearing synthetic is the best choice.

Okay what I recommend for you is Kit# NMU70263-01 and of course the flywheel # is V2140, this is our HD organic clutch kit, great for towing, a little more aggressive than OEM but very daily driver friendly. Flywheel is a solid flywheel and can be resurfaced once it is time for you next clutch saving you some money down the road.
The only real disadvantage is once you do away with the dual mass flywheel you will get more noise from the transmission as the solid flywheel has no way to absorb the torsion vibration and spikes from the diesel engine.

So a good synthetic trans fluid will help reduce or eliminate the tranny noise.

I recieved word from Kevin about what type of clutch would fit my needs. The only mods I'm looking at doing in the near future are the 6637 Intake and a 3in down pipe. The price is much better than the 740 it would be from Advance auto which included the SMF as well.

Which synthetic do you recommend and should I use the same oil in the transfer case as well?
