Need Advice
Hello all, I've just registered on this site and have a few questions about my F-150? Lets c, I have a 2006 F-150 5.4L 4WD EXT Cab, 75K miles, I was wondering what would cause my truck to whine slightly after replacing factory O2 sensors with aftermarket Bosch sensors? I also have a rattling/ticking noise coming from under when I first start the truck in the morning, and it seems to continue while driving, but only at low rpms aroung 900-1000. You can really notice this noise when in a tunnel or driving down a quiet alley? I took it to the dealership and they said not to use aftermarket oil filters, because they don't allow the oil to drain properly back into the pan, causing a dry start? Anyway I let them change it with a Ford recommended filter, and the noise seemed to quiet a little, but not all they way. Any advice would be much apprieciated! I use my truck as a commercial vehicle installing garage doors, and I'm really tuned into every little qwirk it has, as it's pretty much my rolling office!
