Got my filter today from FleetFilter.. What is the easiest way to install it. I know I have to remove the old filter box, etc. etc. but what's the easiest way to plumb this baby?
a piece of 45* 4 inch exhaust pipe,or pvc works best.....very easy with a couple clamps.......
BTW I sold my old airbox on ebay for 40 bucks....almost paid for the upgrade
Just use a short length of 4"OD exhaust pipe between the new filter and the existing black convoluted tubing that goes to the stock air box. You'll also need another clamp to hold the filter on the pipe. Either use a straight piece of pipe or one with a 45* bend. You won't need the filter minder so just toss it in the trash with the old air box.
Thanks for the pics Blue Mule, the hardest was indeed the gromets. Got her installed, about to go for a test ride, exhaust goes in tomorrow.. Hopefully..
