Thanks.
Do you know the quality of the Motel 6? Some them are nice, others... no even safe for a truck driver and the roaches scatter when the lights turned on. I just want to make sure before I make reservations.
With 3 kids Friday is an impossibility for me.

I never stayed at that Motel but Several of the folks going has and they haven't said anything bad it. Here is some other places to stay if you want to check into them. Let me if I can be of any help?

Good to have you here Garrett as well as the other new folks. The more diverse, the better the pool of ideas. Unfortunately, as many of you the Lightning community at large has often gotten to be been there, done that, along with pissing matches to boot. On the bright side, it also means the knowledge base has matured quite a bit, but it still is good to shake things up now and then.
I really like the Lightning/Harley F150 gang, because it sets the bar very high for my truck since it weighs 1,500 lbs more than an L and 500 lbs more than an HD. I have to really strive harders to get ET's in the same neighborhood as some of the mildly modded Lightnings. Currently running (estimated with GPS, DashDAQ and Autometer P-Tec) low to mid 12s depending on weather -- hope to verify it at the track after I get the transmission tuning dialed in. Not bad for the weight especially considering its a 4x4 with heavy 20 inch Roush wheels
My truck and the mods so far... Some have articles written about them on this site, plus I have 5 more articles in process:
2006 F150 FX4, Roush Stage 1 with the following performance related items
- Intercooled Roushcharger with slightly larger Lightning lower pulley (brings boost up from 6 to 8 lbs)
- Troyer E-fan kit
- Dual core radiator (its the heavy duty/towing radiator that Ford offers, twice as thick as the standard radiator)
- BC Automotive transmission with Level 10 (Mag clone) deep pan, triple disc hi-stall converter)
- Dynatech long tube headers
- Dynatech Supermaxx intermediate tubes with hi-flow catalytic converters
- Roush street exhaust (loud enough as it is with the long tubes, it would be obnoxious with their off-road exhaust), with Roush tips. Included with delivered truck
- Yokohama Parada Spec-X tires
- Autometer P-Tech gauge
- Autometer boost gauge with calibrating manifold
- Autometer wide-band O2
- Long Motorsports wide-band O2 (I use this one for tuning data-logging)
- DashDAQ data-logging/digital gauges computer, mounted in an Edge gauge mounting kit modified to fit the larger DashDAQ.
- Air/oil separator (had to make this myself, none of the good Lightning kits fit this truck
- Dyno tuning (3 times) by my good friend Mike Troyer
- Propods triple gauge pod
Roush Options Included with Truck as it was delivered:
- Full upper and lower stripe kit, and windshield banner
- Roush hood scope (not functional, but if any of you have seen the huge size of Roush's air filter you'd understand a functional one isn't needed!)
- Roush tailgate spoiler
- Roush chin spoiler
- Roush wheel flare kit
- Roush pedals
- Roush dash and door trim kit
- Roush leather seats
- Roush floor mats
- Roush 20 inch wheels, with Roush wheel lock kit
- Roush full suspension kit (very good kit, corners on rails considering the weight of the truck)
- Roush side and tailgate badges
- Roush billet grill
Roush Options added:
- Roush/Brandmotion navigation kit
- Roush billet fuel door
- Roush door sill plates
- Roush instrument cluster (wasn't offered until 2007, I need to give Brian over at Roush a shout out for his kindness in getting my 2006 retro-fitted!)
- Roush grill and tailgate oval overlay badges
- Roushcharger hood scope decals
Non-Roush non-performance add-ons:
- Retrax retractable tonnueu cover
- Brandmotion hands free Bluetooth with voice recognition
- UPR underhood and interior billet kits
- Black Harley-Davidson headlights and taillights
- Scangauge II (moved to my Super Duty now that I have a DashDAQ)
- Fumoto oil pan drain valve
- Brandmotion iPod interface
- Chromed stealth bulbs
- Viper Alarm
- Bell radar detector, hard-wired in the overhead console
As you can see, I've been pretty busy with it these past 2 years! After the tranny is dialed in I plan to change out the 3.73 gears with 4.10 gears.

Man, I wish we could. We have been vacationers for 10 days and then went to an event in PA. Driving has been banned for a while. We have family coming in this Friday for a viz also.
Sounds fun. Let us know how it goes.

BTW, I left off two mods, 2-4" drop shackles and just ordered a bed extender today. Won the bed extender on E-bay for $100.98 shipped.
