engine miss

Ok, I have my 99 psd auto 200k with 4" pipe and I have a problem creeping on me and want some opinions. When my engine is cold everything is fine but as soon as the temp guage starts to come off of cold the engine develops a miss, idle to i don't know 1500 or so? So I have checked with my scanner and no codes but was wondering if anyone would agree if they would be pointing towards ips or cps???? and if so I wanted to know if someone had prices on the two sensors regardless of the outcome of my dillema! Furthermore I forgot to mention oil is fresh and full of rotella synthetic blend which My engine loves!!!!!

It could be the CPS. Did you do the recall? You can also get an IH one from DP Tuner around $65. IIRC

What did you use to read the codes? Is it PSD compatible?

I don't know much about how synthetics act, so maybe someone with more knowledge will chime in.

Usually with Dino oil, this could be attributed to leaking o-rings on either the injectors or IPR. The cold thick oil helps provide a seal, but the hot thin oil allows it to leak. If I were guessing, I'd suspect injector o-rings. Can you do a cylinder contribution test with your scanner?
