Aod overhaul problems
I have a 1990 e150 302/5.0 v8 aod metric trani and it only has 50k miles on it . the problem was that it sat for over 5 years without any manticne or atention and then i bought it. since i have had it 6months i have put 20k on it and then the trani started leaking out of the air hole in the slip yok. well on further inspection and a trani fuild change it turned out that the trani was shot there where metel particals and large peices of cluch materal in the fluid so i drop the thing for rebuilding as i can not afford a rebuilt one . on disasembly i found that all of the bushings where shot and it started becuase at the rear end the drive shaft was only being held on by 2 bolts not the 4 it is suposed to have. anyway i got the rebuild kit and everything was going good until i had to replace the bearing insidie the rear planet gear. this bearing is in below the 3 smaller gears and it broke when takeing it out. i have the new one but i can not see how to get in without dismanteling the planet gear and i can not figure out how to do that. any ideas?
