impeding traffic

does anyone know if or how long impeding traffic stays on your record for? live in michigan and 3 days ago I got a ticket for impeding traffic and today I got stopped for failure to stop for a stop sign I want to get this changed to impeding as well the one 3 days ago was in a different city also I got one for impeding 2yrs ago in the same city as i did today anybody have a clue as to my chances it would be appreciated

why not just drive safer for the sake of the world? ive always stoped at every stop light and stop sign ive seen...no mater what... they are there for a reason you know?

Impeding traffic is going to slow or at least that what was told to me. I got told to go to court and ask to get it to impeding traffic. But that is only what I got told. Good luck.

I'm not quite sure how you go from failing to stop at a stop sign to impeding. I suppose you impeded any traffic in the intersection but it would be a tough sell. If the prosecutor sees you just got another ticket 3 days prior, and yes he will see it, he may be inclined to throw the book at you.

If you wanted it changed, why didn't you ask the cop to change it? Oh yea, that would make no sense to write you for impeding when didn't stop for a sign.....

Let's see, impeding two years ago, impeding 3 days ago, failure to stop today. I'd say your chances are excellent you will get another ticket within the next 6 months. You are probably to the point where the points on your license are going to cause you trouble.

What are the instructions on your two recent tickets? Does it say to post the questions on a truck forum? Or contact the court? Does it say to appear, or to just pay? Is there an address or phone number on the ticket? What, praytell, did you do with the last ticket?

Do you read as well as you write? If so, is there someone to help you through this? I mean someone there with you, not some crank lecturing you on the internet?

Perhaps another Michiganer can explain how it works on here, but I think the answers you need are only to be found via the court and dmv.

In north carolina drivers points stay on for 3 years from the time of the conviction. How many points do you get for this? Some states will take your licence if you have more than 2 violations in a 6 month period. A stop sign violation is 3 points by itself. Hope you dont have collision coverage and just liability because if so your insurance cost can more than double with just a few points. Im not being a smartarse but its your money.
