I just completed installing a Toyota Manual Steering box with an early 70's Chevy Van Column. Everything shifted up and to the right so I cut out new sheet metal and installed it minus any seals to see if everything was ok. When I took it apart the orginal "repo" seal I installed 4 years ago was half missing. I thought I would see if anyone had any better ideas on sealing the pedals.
I just got a piece of sheet rubber and cut slots for the pedals and steering column. Youcan cut the slots all the way to the edge so you don't have to pull everything apart to slip it over. Then just sandwhich the rubber between the two (might be three) metal floor plates. You can add a little "Ru-glide" to keep the pedal from binding.
