May have been a re-run, but watched PINKS All Out tonight (10-12-08), They were racing at Bandimere Raceway in Colorado and a guy named Branden Lawley was representing the Bumpside Ford's pretty good in his '69 F-100. Made it to the Finals. It would be interesting to know what his build is.
Saw it, thought the same, made me feel like a kid. I have the 69 swb, he was running nitrous but not sure on the engine. He was hooking up really well also.
Ya, just saw the re-run this morning. Pretty cool to see a bump on TV! He didn't win the event, but to make it to the finals takes the cake! Must have had a pretty stout motor to run with that Camaro.
i hate that show. during the race they play stupid music and change camera views like 50 times. that really bothers me. i want to actually see the whole drag race in action uncut. and the host has a huge ego and touches his hands together alot when he talks, but i can probly bench more than he ever will. that also bothers me. lol.
Danger Dave, you like it you know it. Ha ha. Anyone that knows that much detail of the show likes it.
Welcome to the show. yep some of it is silly but it really is the best thing for a legal street race show.
My first truck was a swbox '69 F100,turquoise exactly like the one in pinks. My Dad bought it for me for high school graduation-it had 32,000 miles on it and was absolutely cherry. In college vo-tech,I built a 428 for it.I had a Detroit Locker 4:11 w/ a big spline top loader 4 speed.Unfortunately the trans was a close ratio which kinda sucked for drag racing but I still never got beat against another truck, including numerous big block Chevies.
I gave up watching the show after it got all "glorified".....like most other "reality" shows on TV(OCC, Boyd, etc). They start interesting............then they go off on tangents I can't handle.
I still have to laugh when I think of the show where he wipes out on that crotchrocket bike LOL!!! "Uh, well I'm used to cruiser bikes and it got away from me". DOH!
The only episode I have watched is where a guy was riding some old, POS looking bike against a new V Rod (as I recall) and wins. Classic "sleeper" vs. odds-on favorite.

haha yeah, nailing the gas on a bike with the horespower to weight ratio of a formula 1 car while trying to negotiate a turn on a greasy drag strip and the tires were probably cold as well. great combo!
All of the info i have is from observing his truck only....
Hes running a small ford, dont know cubic inch, could be a 302 based, could be a 351w based. The truck runs 13.80-13.90 without nitrous, at Bandimere SPEEDWAY in Colorado. I do not know how much nitrous he is shooting to it to get it to run the 12.0-12.1's, but my guess would be between a 100 and 150 shot. Its a clean little truck, i wasnt too fond of the interior, but its nice in the engine compartment and on the exterior.
The only times i have seen him run his truck was at test events, and at the filming of pinks all out tv show. I thought the show sucked compared to being there in person, but hey, its tv.
The "timing system error" was not a timing system error. One of the pullin tv film crew guys had his foot in the stage beams for the tree, so it looked like the right lane and the left lane were staged. When rich looked back the camera guy moved, then the lights went off, then he dropped his arms. The track timing system at bandimere has few, if any errors, it was all the film crew.
