I was never disagreeing with you. I totally believe in tire rotations, but most of my rides dont permit this. Between directional tires and different sizes front to rear, the rotation is not part of normal maintenance.
BTW, stock Ford SD dually trucks with aluminum wheels cant be rotated either.
Been a while since I looked at the book, but since the factory wheel configuration is like we discussed earlier, and the factory wheels are only polished on the outside, they cant be rotated, other than the fronts, and this is side to side.
Guess the rears could be swapped from side to side, but in the rear yo would only be breaking up a pair, and if tire pressures are looked after they wear pretty evenly.

Oh my bad, i musta misunderstood ya!

I havent checked out a newer dually, its been about 3ish years since Ive worked at the tire shop too, and I definatly didnt mean that I have worked on every kind of dually either, just mentioning that the ones I have worked on (and there was quite a few) were all able to rotate

I have also rotated in-out on the rears and side to side on the fronts, but I always questioned if that actually does anything.

I rotate the directionals on my civic, but thats the same sized tires all the way around too
