Run it through its range of articulation. Otherwise, you might eyeball it and think "hey, those tires fit fine" then get it off road, stuff a tire and find there isn't enough room and your nice new cut fenders just shredded your tires.

just for the record.....90 broncos dont have torsion bars

and ont hat 78....you will only have to do minor trimming to the front for 38's and a 4 inch lift

So it would be an even worse idea to do a "torsion bar lift" huh?

Yes seems that way pro, lol . Would be a very bad idea for me to do the torsion bars, lol. Does 33" tires look good on a 90 bronco with only a 4" lift, or do they look to small? .... Maybe i can find some 33" boggers to run

I have to agree, however I do remember a time (15-20 years ago) when 35's were HUGE!!!!

Yea, its funny the longer you've been around how your perspectives change. I mentioned in some other thread how my 44's were starting to look small...

Back in the day 35s were the shinizzle.

"so, how big a tire can i run on my 78 250 with a trialmaster 4" lift??? i will not BE ADDING A BODY, OR ANY HIGHER SUSPENSION LIFT. i would like to run a 37 or 38"

I run 36x12.50 on mine with no lift, they will rub inside the fenderwell on the splacshguards, but do not make contact with the body. I have had it twiseted up a bit with no contact, but I still had the sway bar connected..
