nerf/side bar quest
During a hairy bogfest today, my '72 F-250 took a hit which nearly slid me into a rock which would have done some side panel damage and probably ruptured my side gas tank(which actually hangs slightly below the body...its stock but a bad idea if you ask me). Do to superior mudding skills (fine, luck then), I swang around the near miss. BUT, I'm thinking it would be good insurance to throw on some sidebars to protect this vulnerable area. Problem is, I cant find anyone who sells sidebars for my rig and I don't know anybody who can bend/fab 3" pipe. Any of you old F-gurus know if I can get these anywhere?

Might want to check out this page. He makes lots of things for Toyotas, but he will fabricate for others as well. I also believe he can bend 3" tubing. I know he builds cages and bumpers, so you might email him.

Thats a great resource, thanks. It does look like I will have to go the custom fab route. I think I'll try a local fab outfit first, this may be a little tricky of an app due to my dual side tanks. Otherwise your link looks like they can take care of me. The way I play I'd better get something on there, my trucks straight and I'd like to keep it that way (more or less <grin>).
