Replacing tires

Gentlemen,

First post... I picked up a '08 FX4 SuperDuty a few weeks ago, have been lurking and searching the forum regarding tires to replace the conticrap.
Looking at the Toyo Open Country 285-75/18. My question is will they fit with enough clearance? The specs recommend an 8" wide rim, but I have not yet found a source that shows the rim width on this truck...

Thanks,

Check your spec tag on the piller behind the front drivers side door. Should have a tag there that lists wheel width

Ignore the min wheel width for the most part. I have run as wide as 14/36.5 and 31x13.5 on 15x7 wheels. Wider wheels make the sidewall seem more square, but your not going up enough in width to see much change. Just for your info, the size you rattled off is 11.25" wide, 8.4" side walls, and 34.8" tall. The first number is the width, for a rough figure every 10mm is 3/8".

Some other members here are running that size without issue so you should be OK. Which Open Country are you looking at the M/T or the A/T?

Check out the Coopers. I've loved mine. They're a great tire and made in the US still.
