Looky what I found today!! over at thedieselstop.
I'm thinkin I like this, long as your using a hot welder "220 not a 110", so you don't cook the rubber and window.

Thanks to Wrencher over at the other site.

Cory - Yeah!! That's the bomb. I was planning to do that exact thing - glad to see someone else has had success. If you get a 2008-up rear seat it will already have a groove for the seat belt assembly and just make things fit better - plus you get a center seat headrest which is very important from a safety standpoint. I found some of the stuff on ebay - the bracket and reinforcement part numbers are priceless - I spent an hour at Ford and they could not find that stuff for me.

sullid01, I looked under the rear bench of mine (99), but I only see the 4 bolts, its currently a full bench, any idea if I could go 40/60 split, I have not lifted up the mat, From what I'm following you put in a full bench from a '11 not a split? Can you post a pic of the under side mounts if your able. I really like the split if I was able, Now that I have the cake I want to eat it too I guess.

I replace a split bench in the rear with a split bench. 6 mounting points. Before you cut the carpet, look from below. You may see bungs for the mounting screws. This is how I found the mounting points for the jump seat. I had my son push up with a screw driver from below and then I cut down on the carpet right on top of the screw driver.

I took a look under the truck today, and have been mind screwing the whole plan, mine does have the holes all in place just covered up from the inside. ordered the parts for the rear center belt, and have a welder friend all lined up, just need to figure out the proper dimensions and locations for the brackets, researched all the seat mounts up through '16 for the floor looks like its all interchangeable even the front that's awesome (new interior life here I come), though a few other questions have come to mind, on the newer (11 and up) trucks the rear seat appears to have a latch to secure to the back wall, on the corners of the seat back, is that present on the '12 seats you installed and how did you over come that. Also do the seats ride at the same height, are you able to utilize the under seat storage now with the new seats, do the new seats slant back at the right angle ( I assume they do). Thanks for the help, I tend to were out a project in my head before I turn the first screw, I don't like surprises when I get into rebuilds.

I did not have any latch to contend with. The seats seem to be the exact same height - I am not using the storage underneath - there is a bunch of amps and stuff under there, but it was a tight fit before and is slightly (1-2mm) more roomy. The seats slant back at the same angle too - I have a custom base box behind that is super tight. It left an impression on the old seat backs. Still fits tight but no issues. My base box will need to be swapped out to fit the seat belt hardware back there.

I really like the updated seats - they are quite a bit more comfortable and the headrests are much better. Getting the rear seat in was awkward because of the size but just dropped into place. Have the new seat belt latches ready to go so you don't need to remove the seat later to replace them.
