Help indentify wires ?
I have three sets of wires I need help identifying. I have a 1979 F150 4x4 reg cab, with a 300 6cy and a 4spd np435 and a 2 spd transfer case NP 205 with manual hubs. Just outside the fire wall on the drivers side:
1) This blue wire plugs into a yellow three hole female plug under the dash, goes through the fire wall. Outside the fire wall it has a round black plug that plugs into a white wire with red strip that runs all the way back to the transfer case area. The end of the white wire is not hooked to anything, I think it goes to the transfer case ?? What should be on the end of this wire and where on the transfer case does it attached and how ?
2) Off the wire harness under the hood, just off the fire wall a blue wire with a black round female plug, going to nothing, what is it ? This blue wire looks like it goes under the cab along the frame to a black round plug in the area where a fuel tank aux might be. No tank but the wire is there. please identyfy.
3) two wires : one black with red strip and one white with each having a flat male end, together they form a two prong plug that also connects to the a female plug around the wire harnness just off the fire wall under the hood, this wire goes to the top of the tansmission area and then I can not trace any longer ? help identify?

1. Possibly the wire for a full time 4wd equipped under dash lock light. I'll see if I can locate that later.
2. That is the wire for a second tank, not used in your case.
3. I think that is for a neutral safety switch, not used with a stick. I'll confirm the wire colors later.
