Not big (even for the west coast) but nice bucks for their first try and season. My son shot his spike-fork at 201 yards- a perfect shot (it was his third try in two weeks)...lol...and my friends daughter shot a bigger forky at 280 yrds. Shots I think twice about taking...my poor son missed a huge buck opening day, but he says he'll save his second tag for a bigger one.
VERRRRY GOOD !! Pics nice too. I have deer in the yard nightly, under the apple & chestnut trees. Lately they come out JUST before sundown. My neighbors (hunters) give me a bad time about my "pet" deer. Most of my hunting has been with a camera - till archery season started.
I still havent gotten the chance to go hunting. I fish all the time, grow vegetables, but havent hunted. All in the pursuit of food that dosnt have 9 trillion additives.
Compared to you guys i would be classified as a city boy, but thats because florida developed so much since the 50s. My dad helped clear the land where my grandpas house was built. And my grandpa built that house. Now that house is surrounded by gated communities and businesses. Its a shame.
I will have to agree with I6power, Florida is pretty congested. I would be afraid to hunt with a rifle for fear that I might hurt someone, or worse. I will just stick with my bow and shotgun.
Always nice to hear about young hunters not only out in the field but making the shot.
You must be up north because A-Zone closed a few weeks ago.
Got them in two different D zones...they each have two tags and now they want a shot at one of the "wall hangers" we saw...so I guess I'm not yet done for the season
It'll be me...man mine is ready to go at 4:30AM when we go and me....lotsa coffee...that's why I like the afternoons...its only about 1/2-1hr drive depending where we go.
