A few weeks ago I put an ad in the "Parts Wanted" section here but got no response. I was looking for all the accelerator linkage for a 215/6 in a '52 F-1. Since then I have located another engine which was good 'cause I needed the straight down exhaust manifold, and it came with the bellcranks and linkage I needed except for the part that bolts to the firewall. So, I am asking here, with everyone taking out original engines or replacing 6cyls. with V8s does anyone have the part I am looking for? To be clear, it is the linkage that goes from the gas pedal to the engine and bolts to the firewall. And, yes I know I could make one and will if I have to but would prefer the real thing. Thanks. (oh, and man is it hard to find a good Holley 1904 style carburetor!!)
Not sure if one from a flathead 6 will work or not. I went ahead and sacrificed one from a V8 and made something I can live with until I find the right stuff. Thanks, though.
As for carbs. I have a few myself, but I was hoping to find a factory rebuilt or NOS. I put a kit in what looked to be the best one I had and it is okay for now. Eventually this truck is going to see a lot of miles and the new one will be back up. Thanks for the offer.
