I just got done putting some new 55 watt lights on the back of the truck to help with loading and unloading trailers and such. It is definetely nice to have some light going back there when you are working. The one thing I did not do was hook them up to the reverse lights like some others had, I did not want to blind somebody with them so I just decided to put them on a switch up front. I found some nice little switches put a extra one in while I was at it to balance the look out a little. I am sure I will find a need for it later
Great looking set up there Bowen, have a fun time drilling that reciever hitch? Those switchs are nice but a buddy of mine had those same exact ones and those little swtich lights were BRITE!

Actually drilling the hitch was not to bad, now the dorky little screws the give you broke right off when I tried to screw them in, went and got some nice self-tapping stainless after that.
That was the idea to have it bright for these lights as I dont want to be driving down the road with them accidently on. I want to know when they are on, now as for the empty switch that may be a problem if I want whatever is put on that on a lot.
Thats what I did I mounted another switch when I put in my light switch, I am thinking of putting my heated mirrors from my 07 mirrors on there. Also its nice to have the lights on a switch for those pesky tail gaters .
The other day around 6:00 A.M. I had some jerk come up behind me and flash his lights wanting me to go faster or move over. I was already going well over the speed limit and I could not move over, so I flipped the switch and wathched him squint as I left the lights on for a few seconds.
May not have been nice, legal or safe, but it made me smile.
I used the same switches and got them at Auto Zone. One thing I don't like about them is the light indicating when they are turned on; it's too bright.
I got these at Advance Auto. The reason I picked these is because they were small and would mount up tight to the hitch. I did not want a bigger light because I did not want to knock them around driving thru stuff. If you want to stay small but want lots of light I think you can get a 100 watt bulb for these to replace the 55watt bulb they have.
