Heated Seat Kit

I have done a search and can't find any threads dealing with the installation of after market seat heating elements. I know I can have them installed in my 2006 Escape for around $350 or so, but if I can do it myself cheaper I would be up for that. So my questions are: Has anyone done this themselves, where can I get a good complete kit, and would it be easier to have a shop do it?

Any thoughts?

I used to work for a car dealership and we would install them in used cars fairly often for people. From what I recall we charged 300 bucks, but there wasn't a whole lot of labor involved, we could usually have it done in an hour or two..... so i dont know if you'd save a whole lot doin it yourself vs. time saved at a shop.
