Its been running rough but still going OK .
But today twice while going down hill it started smoking ,so bad you couldnt see the car behind me.
Almost a hazard it was so much smoke.
Im talking HUGE clouds of blue smoke.
The motor acted like it was over fueling or something.
If it was a gas engine I would say it was "flooding itself".
After pumping the pedal a bit it clears up and runs normal again.
It bogs right out and almost quits in 1st and 2nd when you are taking off.
It clears up and goes if you let off on the fuel , change gears and step on it again.
Any ideas?
Is that the screen on the fitting in the filter bowl?
If so I took it out to clean some time back and dropped the screen and lost it in the engine valley.
Well then I think it's safe to say your FPR is probably full of crud. If it were me, I'd remove it, or the whole fuel bowl and go through it. You can take it apart and clean the external filter too. Then blow air through all the little passages to clear them. And while you have the fuel bowl out, find your screen. Use a BBQ lighter to get it glowing red and re-attach it to the plastic orafice it came from. But again, this is just my opinion, I could be something else. But not having that screen in place is bad. All that fuel goes through a hole about the size of a mechanical pencil lead. So odds are, it's clogged. Now, if you decide to take it out....BE CAREFUL, THERE IS A PLASTIC CHECK BALL BEHIND IT. I say it like that because I can't count all the people I've heard about losing them. Anyway, hope that helps.
In my opinion, yes. Also, that black canister hanging off the FPR is a filter as well, I'm sure that would need to be cleaned too. I was hoping someone would chime in with another idea. But I would for sure start there. And if you get it all back together, clean the screen from inside the bowl, I find it almost as easy, but no risk of losing the screen.

Tryed to use it again today it only smokes going down hill , its like its overfueling or something.
Imm talking HUGE clouds of blue smoke and when you step on it , it sputters and even sounds like it s backfiring , then it clears up and away you go again.
But it only smokes going down hill.
Its lacking power going up hill but it doesnt smoke when its working.
I have no access to a scanner.
Which ones the MAP sensor?
Small box mounted on firewall next to AC/ heater box. It has a three wire plug going to it and a vacuum type hose down to the passenger side intake. Unplug the three wire connection .. truck will CEL but PCM will use a pre programed MAP routine.
I say the fuel is sloshing around in the black canister filter and "sorta" clearing the restriction going up hill. Going down hill it puts the restriction in the right place so to speak. You say "overfueling" or loading up. A plugged FPR will cause this. I really think that's your problem. Pulling the fuel bowl is really pretty easy. You can look at my SD HPOP writeup to get a play by play.
I'll be here. But if you are talking about in the morning, I'll be away from the computer. By all means feel free to call me if you have any questions. (512)663-6150 I've taken the last half of today (tonight, night shift) off so I can get an early start tomorrow instead of sleeping all day. I'm helping a friend and his crew get a drag truck ready for the nationals in Baytown this weekend. I should be welding all morining, but if I miss you, I should be able to call you back within a few minutes.
