Well I wish I had a video camera at work today. We were moving a big tanks outside with a 10ton carrydeck crane. Well to make a long story short we got the crane buried to the frame in the mud. Being the biggest piece of equipment we had on the job nothing else would pull it out. (let a 2wd chevy try..as expected....nothing) So I said Ill give it a shot. People pulling into the job were stopping and saying "We gotta see this." I backed my truck up hooked up, got the straps tight and eased into the throttle. The truck sounds good with a load behind it. And slowly the truck started going forward with the crane in tow. AH I LOVED IT!!!!! I just had to share. Ill take a pic of the crane tomarrow.
foreman said the crane is rated to 10ton so I need to see how much the crane weights itself. I know it doesnt weight 10ton but I dunno. Ill try to get pics of the hole it was in.
Nice!!! Have them bury the crane again so that you can record the 2nd pull!!!
I second the motion!! LOL It's great to share these stories amongst "those in the know" but even better when someone comes by my desk and they see those type of pictures... they're like this ->
