Exclamation the voltinator.

alright, so problem with daily driver.
so to start truck up this morning(I usually cycle the glowplugs a few times because sometimes they dont work sometimes they do). anyways, they cycle the second time around, so i go turn the key off and on but nothing this time. (now this could have happend when i turned the key to turn it over or just to cycle the plugs, i dont remember. anyways, truck has electricity so assesories, and has 12.5 volts from battery terminals. but as soon as the key, turns to the on position, big voltage drop, not total loss but dome light dims to just a faint glow and nothing happens.

i hope someone can help and i hope its a relativly easy fix cause i depend on this vehical to get to school and im broke. thank you. oh and the truck ran pretty good yesterday.

Check the positive battery cable at the passenger side terminal. Does the insulation look like it has been hot and/or is it swollen or cracked? If so, the cable may be corroded inside.

Just a wild first guess.

And remove the wire connections at the batteries. Clean the battery posts and the wire connectors, replace making sure they are tight.
