I have a quick question for ya. I have a 2005 f350 6.0 with around 75000 miles on it and just recently i started noticing a burning smell coming from the rear of the truck after pulling a trailer. It only seems to happen if i am pulling a trailer (around 5000lbs). Could the brakes being worn cause something like this. It also seems to be coming from the drivers side by the rear tires. Could i need to lube something up? Im a little concerned with strange burning smells coming from my truck lol. Thanks for any imput someone might have
The brake caliper is not centering. You need to pull the caliper down and change the pads, clean the rust and lube properly, then the caliper can slide and center itself.
thanks for the info. I think i found something to do this next coming weekend along with and oil and fuel filter change. This is a great site full of info for ford guys. thanks again
