Hopping at 40 mph...
Last weekend I installed a 4" Pro Comp lift kit in my truck. Let me tell you, it was quiet a challenge. Took me a day and half, but my experience after all is really good. I didn't have any help, I did it on my driveway with a few floor jacks and a couple of stands. I think the hardest part was to fish the new leafs in place on the front, but I managed it and I'm really happy with the results. Finally my truck looks a little more beefy.
Now my question. Since the install, my truck does the hopping at 40 mph. Every once in a while it did it before - I read this is something what Ford did blame on the drive-shaft, and I know it could appear with a lift. Now I'm planning to install a center bearing spacer to make the angle a little better, and I noticed that I can move my drive-shaft with hand up and down at the center bearing. I have to use some muscle though. It's not loose, it appears to be the rubber bearing housing moves in the bracket. I'm just wondering if it is normal, or I have to go get a new one.
Thanks....
