I have 1966 2wd cab , box , radiator support and fenders .
I wish to set these on a 4x4 chasis .
I do not like the floor/steering column of my 66 4x4
( 61-64 style ) .
Has anyone else done this ?
What frame widths are the same as the '66 2wd ?
Thank You

if memory sreves me, the front crossmember has to be unriveted, the frame spread and the crossmember moved to accomodate the axle.
on 80-96, it is a bolt in swap.
You should have no problem dropping the cab and front clip on any 1/2 ton chassis from 67-79. The rear of the frame under the bed does come in different widths in the later years and the wheel base will change a little. almost everything will bolt right up. I have put a 65 (2x)cab on a 77 (4x)chassis and almost everything was a direct fit.
Thanks for the help ...
I'll start looking for a chassis .
I'll be using this for Street Stock Truck pulling ,so
I'll be using a 3/4 chassis .
does anyone know ...
could I just use a newer front axle/steering box on my old frame?
Then I could use my 66 3/4 ton 4x4 frame with my 2wd body parts.
