[font size="1" color="#FF0000"]LAST EDITED ON 20-Jul-01 AT 11:46 AM (EST)[/font][p]i have a 1996 ford explorer xlt and i recently changed the ATF in my transfer case and when i shift into 4WD LOW either my 4WD light doesn't come on or my 4WD and 4WD LOW lights flash...i filled the transfer case with ATF until it reached the bottom of the fill plug hole and i don't know what else to check for...please help if you can

 

I could be wrong, but I think you are supposed to use gear oil in the transfer case. Did you check the owners manual? Once again I'm not sure.
