Just put a Dana 60 on my Friends 97 F-250 PowerStroke. The axle came of of a 93 F-350 with a 6 inch lift. Rebuilt the axle, took the TTB of the 97 and bolted the 93 6inch sping packs on and then bolted the axle on. Bolted up perfectly but had to use the 93 brake lines. The stroke already had a 4 inch lift so it didnt squat to bad in the back. Now it looks better and rides smoother.(Should have put the Dana 60 under my truck)

Dana 60 are hard to find in junkyards and new ones run around 5grand. Personaly for an F-150 i would use a D44. Unless you plan on running really big tires. You didnt say the year of your truck so i dont know what mods youd have to do. My friend has an 88 F150 with a d44 upfront of of a f250 so the spring packs would fit on the axle. He made his own brackets to mount the leaf springs. If you want more info on how he did it email me at willms3@swbell.net and i will find out for you.
BTW what year is you truck.

Mine is an '88 with the ifs dana 44. Is the frame of the F150 strong enough to handle the dana 60 or is it just too much? I guess a straight dana 44 wouldnt be bad if I got some aftermarket axleshafts, ujoints, etc...
