This is a sudden problem. Truck ran OK yesterday and won't start today. I put a scanner on it and find no Injection Control Pressure. All the electronics seem to be OK, nothing showed up on the scanner anyway. Took the IPR apart and could not find anything wrong there. There is no oil drop in the HP reservoir.
What could be going here? Is it common for the HPOP to quit so sudden? Can they simply loose their prime and not pump?

Make sure the tin nut on the IPR is tight and double check all the electrical connections to the IPR and especially the ICP sensor AKA the FPR sensor. If the ICP sensor sees nothing, nothing will happen except maybe a default where the truck should start. Try unplugging the ICP sensor and see what happens.
Funny, I have the same problem. Pull the plug from the top of the HPOP resevoir, and manually fill it with oil. That SHOULD get you running. I have another thread I started last night asking for help with the resevoir draining. There's some kind of check valve in there that is jacked up, but I'm trying to find out how to fix it.
Mine started acting up a little while back my shutting down, then starting. Then finally shut down and would not start. IPR looked good. I bought a new new one on Ebay and has worked perfect since.
I took the HPOP off, removed the regulator. Cleaned up the regulator and put it back together. Never found the problem but the truck started right up. Holds 950 psi at idle and runs up to over 2250 psi when I rev it up but falls back to around 1900. Hope this is OK.

Glad you are up and running.
ICP of 950 at idle is pretty high. It should be around 500. Either the IPR is not properly regulating or the ICP sensor is not working right. After revving it up and going back to idle it should go back down to about 500. Have you rechecked ICP at idle after driving it several miles. I think this is something to keep an eye on.

Thanks ... It returns to about the 900-950 area when it comes back down to idle. When I rev it up to 2k or a little more it the pressure raises to around 2250 then settles back down to the 1900 area while I maintain the 2k RPM. I haven't had it out on the road yet so maybe things will change. Hope I don't have to take it apart again. Do you think it is the regulator, HPOP or ????

Take it for a good drive to get the air worked out of the oil rails and then recheck. If it is still that high at idle, shut it down and pull the connector off the ICP sensor and restart. See if the ICP is still high at idle. If it is then it most likely is not the ICP sensor, but the IPR. If it drops down to somewhere around 500 than the ICP sensor is suspect. Put some miles on it before you try to narrow it down to either the ICP sensor or IPR.
Edit: Added this info to show the relationship of the PCM, IPR and ICP. Something you most likely know aleady.

Ok I took the truck for a trip out into the valley and hauled a horse home. About a 35 mile round trip down thw interstate and pulling a long steep grade. When I got home I put the scanner back on it and found the idle pressure is now ranging between 550 & 600psi. It dosn't sit a a constant pressure but sort of bounces around. The truck seems to run alright so I think I'll leave good enough alone. Thanks for the pictures and diagram, that sure helps.
