clearance issues

89 f-250 with 10" springs up front. dana 60 with a high steer arm. dropped pitman arm. anyway the spring pack is too tall and i cant run to the high steer and i cant hit the factory hole without bending the drag link. so looking for some input here. i really didnt want to go with hydraulic steering. also the c6 i got will not alow the 205 to bolt up so im running the 208 for now. the crossmember is directly in the way of the front driveshaft and i have no good ideas here either without fabbing up a whole new one. so whats the trick here? someone out there had to have put a big lift in this style truck thanks, Josh

What factory hole is available when crossover is used?
Do you mean that you cant run the factory Inverted "T" design steering without modification to the drag link? That is a given, but you do not want to run a drag link that low with this type of lift.
Which steering arm did you buy? Sounds as though you have purchased a flat arm, and need a steering arm that is raised for the additional lift.
What year is your front 60? Is the arm you have a bolt on arm? Do you have a King pin dana 60, or is the arm already incorperated into the knuckle like that of a ball joint axle?
There is an easy solution, and if you have a KP axle, you just need to buy the correct arm.
As far as your NP205, why does it not fit? Which adapter do you have? Are you still trying to use a short aluminum adapter? Many times this adapter has to be slightly modified to clear the shift rails, but this is easy to do. Though I do not like the idea of hanging this heavy case off of this adapter, and you may have problems with u-joint clearance, this should also be a very easy thing to do. You will have to modify the x-member so the d-shaft can clear it, but again, this should be easy to do.
Why take the time to install an aluminum case when you already have the better case on hand?
Under a time crunch? Take your time and perform a quality job the first time. You and your truck will be much happier with the results.

Now, the million dollar question. Why will the steering arm not clear the pass side spring pack? Whick spring pack are you using? My new F100 (was 2wd, I wanted a 4wd shortbed 1 ton) with leaf springs has a 14 leaf front pack, and I clear a very large drag link with a flat steering arm. I do not see much of a clearance issue here, and hope that your clearance problem is not because you have a block under the front spring??????

no my high steer arm is not high enough to clear the spring. the 205 will not fit on the c6 i have now. it is out of a 88 pick-up i set it up up there today and even if i cut out the area for the rail it sits way to close to the trans to even clear a joint. so idk if i need a tranny from an older truck with the longer output shaft?
