Now that FORD updated the "Build your 2009 F150" website and it's offical you can not get a regular cab FX4 !
Why do you think we saw pictures of (gold regular cab FX4) a truck they do not make ?

 

Thats totally lame.... at a time when Ford should be getting every damn sale possible! If I ever get a regular cab (Actually thought about it for my last purchase).. it would have been an FX4 trim.

 

I'm wondering if the pic you saw was equipped with the FX4 option (skid plates, shocks and FX4 bedside stickers) as opposed to the available FX4 trim level.

 

Best I know the "option" hasnt been available since 03... when it was converted for MY04 as a full blown package.

 

I noticed that today also. I have a 2003 regular cab FX4 and thoguht about getting a new one, but it is not available. It also looks like you can not get the locker unless it is an FX4. The max tow package cannot be had with the regular cab either - although that might make a little sence due to the short wheel base? I'll keep my 03.
