I have the 1.4.2.1303 version I think. I have a couple questions:
1. Do you guys leave your SD card in the unit always or is it suppose to come out?
2. I set my "ford" parameters up but there are 3 diff EGT selections bank 1, 2,3 I believe. Which one is the most accurate to watch or is there a different one? All of those seem to have a default of 412 F max and that can't be correct??
I have the 75,150, & 210. The 75 didn't seem to do much difference but your sure notice that 210!!! Wow!!! I have a 6spd manual and if you get on it quick in 5th it will slip the clutch. I also roughly picked 3-4mpg so far haven't done a accurate hand calc yet though!!! THANKS SPARTAN!!!
I also have a six speed.........you slip the clutch in 5th gear? I would hope the stock clutch is a little stringer than that.I think the Spartan web site has all the needed info. Good luck. What kind of mileage are you getting now for highway use?
B-52 - Leave the SD card in the unit! Make sure you have made back-up copies of all your tunes and stock file. Burn them to a cd for safe keeping.
You need to use exhaust gas recirculation temperature sensor A. It will display EGRTA on the gauge. Set the max limit at 2000, high warning at 1600. Make sure you change the color of the high warning to something you can see. If you need help, visit the Spartan Forum, look under Installation and FAQ and find the thread DashDaq Help File.
Thanks mick1955 yes I have saved my stock and all 3 tunes to my pc. Ok I will leave the SD Card in. However you can disconnect the Dash Daq to take out so it doesn't stolen and then plug it right back in with out having to readload correct?? Basically once the tune is loaded the DD is for viewing only correct?
Pyro2nite yes I can slip the clutch pretty easy on the 210 tune but not the 150. I like the 150 better for towing but the 210 seems to bet better MPG. Keep in mind I have a crew cab long bed lariat 6speed that is lifted with 37" tires but I saw some pretty good increases in mpg. 18-19 highway empty 14-15 around town. Towing a mid weight trailer I averaged 12-13 mpg. On average I picked up 3 mpg. I am impressed!!!!
Yes, I also remove mine every time I get out of the truck. There have been too many of them stolen. That's what I do, just hook it up when I want to monitor the gauges. Be sure to visit the Spartan Forum. A whole lot of info there!
Yes I have been to the Spartan forum several times, very helpful. Hey speaking of that what is the Config file all about?? I saw it on there but not quite sure what it is or what it does??
