Battery continue to go dead

I have charged my battery up good and it runs for about two weeks then my truck won't start. I repeated the process and it does the same thing runs for about two weeks then the battery goes dead again. I had someone check the truck and they said the alternator tested good. Can someone give me some ideas. Do I need a new battery? I have a 1997 F150, Battery is about two or three years old.

Thanks

Mike

Bring your battery in to an auto parts place, and get them to test it. You can buy a tester yourself and test it too.

What kind of battery is it?

My son has a 2001 that the battery will go dead in. It's some kind of short up in the dash. As long as you pull the power window fuse it will be fine, but plug that back in and it will go dead in a few days. It had a leak in the windshield up by the dash and apparently it shorted out something in one of the controllers and so far he hasn't tried replacing those yet. Just pulls the fuse when he's going to park it and doesn't worry abou it for right now. May not be your problem, but something to think about.
