^^^^^^^^ thats the info alot of folks were looking for^^^^^^^
just click on the common mods and maint line and it will take you to the thread list.
the RHN was a great idea, but if you frequent this forum then you most likely already know how to get in touch with someone on your route. If not, PM me with a phone number and I'll try and talk you through anything you need.
I can get ahold of Alan (amiller93) if need be. I have his cell and can get his home number, plus I know where he lives and works. But before I bother him, I need some questions answered. I don't know what is involved with websites. So...
What needs to happen for someone else to take the website over?
Who has the skills and is "serious" about keeping up with it?
I am adapting the Common Mods and Maintenance Guides from the old site to my own, too, along with the O-Ring chart.
I haven't the talent that Alan has to make it available to others to modify (that was a GREAT feature of 7point3), but I'm generally updating a website every night anyway (springerrescue.org), so I can incorporate changes people email to me.
If Alan gets active again, I will back out immediately and let him run with it. He's MUCH better at this sort of thing than I am.
Good questions, Chris, and even though I am setting up my site as well, and would be happy to hiost some megs for this effort, I am far from being a net guur.... um net rugu.... um.... heck... I can't even spell it, much less be it!
Well, I guess I'll have to admit that I have also made an attempt (unauthorized) to reconstruct Alan's site. I don't have some of the articles that he had posted on his site and the Help Network does not work of course.
I guess if Alan objects, I will have to remove it.
