Thinking about buying,
Thinking about at looking and trading for this truck! Please tell me any thing to look at. or what you think some of these problems could be?

It is a 98 extended cab 4x4 Ranger. It has a 4.0 V6 and 5speed auto trans it is also a 4 door. The trans won't kick into overdrive so it will probably need rebuilt. I think the front left hub assembly is bad. The drive shaft when you put into gear but the U-joints are good so it might need a new driveshaft and the power steering whines but work fine. It does drive. I occasionally drive it back and forth to work but with out overdrive the gas mileage really sucks. It does have over 200,000 miles on it. I don't have any pics yet but I can get some tomorrow.

The 98=2000 ranger 4x4's used a pulse vacume hub that is very problrmatic. It can get vacume leaks anywhere in the system including the hubs themselfs, hard to find. However, Tellico 4x4 sells a set of AVM manual hubs just for this system for a little over 100.00$ This does a way with the vacume and the problems, an awesome fix, Other than that, there as good as the rest of the rangers.
